Teachers who applied or are yet to apply for the GES promotion must take note

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has reopened the 2021 promotion registration portal after it was suddenly closed on 9th September 2021. 

GES, however, did not give any explanation for the sudden closure of the portal.

The portal has since been reopened for more Teachers who are due for promotion to register. 

Meanwhile, teachers who are registering or have registered, are urged to make sure that their picture appears on the printout after going through the process successfully. 

Moreover, a test message will be sent to them from GES notifying them of their success in completing the form. 

Applicants who do not have any of the above are kindly urged to revisit their application again before the deadline (23RD SEPTEMEBER, 2021).

  The Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation will launch the National SIM Card Registration Exercise across the country next month. Existing subscribers will register their SIMs via USSD and a sim registration App. Government will be implementing handset and equipment registration alongside the SIM registration and set up the CEIR as stated in the Executive Instrument 63. The Central Equipment Identity Register connects to MNOs’ systems in a non-intrusive manner in order to aggregate all IMEIs coming from all the local operators in a single national IMEI database. Only the National Identity Card (Ghana Card) issued to an individual shall be used for registration of SIM cards of Citizens, Foreign Residents and Foreigners staying in Ghana for more than 90 days. 2021 BECE School Selection Reforms

The Ghana Education Service has reformed the school selection placement process leading to the introduction of three 2021 BECE School Selection Reforms.  The changes are as follows:   1. Number of schools to be selected  Each candidate will select 6 schools. Prior to 2021, BECE candidates choose only 5 schools during the school selection phase of the BECE registration. This implies candidates will now have schools ranging from category A to F this year.    2. School categories updated  The GES has updated the schools and the categories they belonged to. This means that a school that was in say category B may either move to category A or C or any other based on the GES criteria for classifying the Senior High Schools captured in the school list for the 2021 BECE candidates.  3 .
