The Director-General, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, joined H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, at the official launch of the STEM Box initiative for basic schools last Thursday, 4th December.
In his remarks, the Director-General appreciated the Government for its strong commitment to practical science education, with the introduction of the STEM Box being a game-changing toolkit that brings hands-on STEM learning directly into every classroom.
He noted that this initiative will spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and help pupils develop the critical skills needed in a world shaped by robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation.
He emphasised that GES remains fully committed to supporting teachers with training and guidance to ensure effective use of the STEM Box across the country. The nationwide rollout marks an important step in equipping Ghanaian children with the tools to become confident problem-solvers and future innovators.
