Register : Free CPD Points for Teachers by NTC and Instill Education



The National Teaching Council and Instill Education, South Africa is organizing training for Ghanaian Teachers (Self-Learning) from 1st August to 30th September 2022. 

The training will be organized online to enable all teachers to register and participate for CPD points.


Module Selection

There are 20 modules that you can choose from as part of the programme. The modules have been grouped into two categories:

  1. Headteacher Modules 
  2. Classroom Teacher Modules 

The modules for head teachers are focused on School Improvement Planning, Classroom Observation of Teachers and Improving School-Wide Routines for headteachers. 

The modules for teachers are focused on Classroom Management, Learner Engagement, Universal Design for Learning, and Curriculum Planning. Teachers would be required to select and complete two models.

The modules available for the training are listed below:

  • Building Relationships for Meaningful Observations (Head Teacher Module)
  • Fixing Broken Routines (Head Teacher Module)
  • Introduction to Leading Professional Development (Head Teacher Module)
  • Leading Self (Head Teacher Module)
  • Leading the School Improvement Plan (Head TeacherModule)
  • Planning for Observations (Head Teacher Module)
  • Reimaging the School Improvement Plan (Head Teacher Module)
  • Applying Universal Design for Learning to Improve Engagement (Teacher Module)
  • Applying Universal Design for Learning to Improve Learner Understanding (Teacher Module)
  • Bridging the Gap (Teacher Module)
  • Building Classroom Routines for Learning (Teacher Module)
  • Checking for Understanding with Dipsticking (Teacher Module)
  • Engaging All Learners Through Choral Response (Teacher Module)
  • Engaging All Learners Through Cold Calling (Teacher Module)
  • Engaging All Learners Through Turn and Talk (Teacher Module)
  • Engaging All Learners Through Writing (Teacher Module)
  • Reinforcing Learner Expectations (TeacherModule)
  • SettingClear Expectations with Learners (Teacher Module)
  • Supporting Learners Experiencing Grief (Teacher Module)

You are to select ONE module that you would like to complete in the first four weeks of the training, and ONE module that you would like to complete in the second half of the training.

Signing Up at Upskill@Instill Education 

If you DO NOT have an Upskill account, follow the steps below after registering for the modules: 

  1. Create an account by going to https://upskill.instill.education/
  2. Click on “new account” and answer the questions
  3. Select “NTC Self-Learning Programme” as your Enrollment Key option
  4. Log in to Upskill
  5. Locate the two modules that you selected for the pilot, and enrol in them
  6. Use the same log-in information whenever you come back to Upskill. 


Signing in at Upskill@Instill Education 

If you have an account on Upskill, but did NOT select the "NTC Self-Learning Programme" as your enrolment key, you will need to do the following, if you want to get your CPD points:

  1. Log onto Upskill at https://upskill.instill.education/
  2. Go to your profile icon at the top right hand corner of the page
  3. Click on “Edit profile”
  4. Scroll down to the “Additional Fields” section
  5. Choose “NTC Self-Learning Programme” for the Enrollment Key option
  6. Click “Update profile”
  7. Go back to the homepage and enrol in the two modules you selected for the programme

If you ever forget the two modules that you selected for the programme, you can check your email records for your registration survey responses.
