The Conditions of Service for teachers working under the Ghana Education Service across the country expired in December, 2019. Following the expiration of the conditions of Service for Teachers in 2019, the various Teachers Unions in the country sat at the negotiation table with Government and negotiated a new Conditions of Service for Teachers under the Ghana Education Service. The Government of Ghana and the Teacher  Unions within the Ghana Education Service, comprising of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers, (NAGRAT) and Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT-GH)) on 5th March, 2020 agreed on a new Conditions of service for Teachers.
