I quit teaching due to hunger, salary was so poor - Special Prosecutor

Special Prosecutor Kiss Agyabeng has revealed that hunger and poor salary were the reasons he quit teaching.

According to him, his salary as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ghana was nothing to write home about so he decided to drop the chalk.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Peace FM, Kissi Agyabeng did not shy away from the fact that Ghanaian teachers are poorly paid despite their hard work and dedication.

He had the following to say: “I have it on good authority that lecturers at the University of Ghana are not paid more than $100 per month. What is the current value of the dollar in cedis? So, even if a Legon lecturer is paid GHS5000, what can he do with it?"
