The spirit of political and international liberty is universal and, it may even be said, instinctive...

The attainment of freedom, whether for a man, a nation or the world, must be in exact proportion to the attainment of non-violence by each...

There is no such thing as slow freedom. Till we are fully free we are all slaves...

I want freedom for the full expression of my personality. I must be free to build a staircase to Sirius if I want to...

No action which is not voluntary can be called moral. So long as we act like machines there can be no question of morality....

Freedom is like birth. Till we are fully free, we are slaves....

No charter of freedom will be worth looking at which does not ensure the same measure of freedom for the minorities as for the majority....

True nonviolence should mean a complete freedom from ill-will and anger and hate and an overflowing love for all....

Complete independence does not mean arrogant isolation or a superior disdain for all help....

If it is man's (sic) privilege to be independent, it is equally his duty to be inter-dependent....

Any action that is dictated by fear or by coercion of any kind ceases to be moral....

Freedom of the individual is at the root of all progress.

Dagbon Traditional Council  Dagboŋ Traditional Council Meets on Regional Reorganization Saturday, 23 December 2017 The Regent of Dagboŋ, and acting President of the Dagboŋ Traditional Council, Kampakuya-Naa, Andani Yakubu Abdulai called a special Expanded Council meeting to discuss the Government initiated Constitutional processes on Regional Reorganization. The Special Meeting of the Dagboŋ Traditional Council (DTC) was held at the forecourt of the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi today. The meeting brought together Paramount Chiefs, Divisional Chiefs and prominent citizens of the Dagboŋ Traditional Area. 10 arrested as protesters besiege Gupke Naa’s palace

The Police Rapid Deployment Force in Tamale on Friday arrested 10 people after fighting broke out at the Gupkegu Palace in Tamale.  The fight, between palace guards and youth of choggu, who violently besieged the palace to demand release of their colleagues arrested earlier for launching a brutal arson attack on the residence of a sub-chief accused of wizardry.  Scores of the youth sustained injuries and many others fled leaving behind motorbikes and other belongings at the palace, in the open confrontation that was triggered by the illegal invasion of the palace and some comments made by the youth that the guards and warriors of the Gukpe Naa deemed “disrespectful”.  According to Secretary of the Gupke Naa, Saha-Naa Abdul Rashid, the youth caused an abomination when they drummed and sung war songs into the palace and insulted the linguist, who received and was addressing them on behalf of the Tamale overlord.  “The arrival of the Rapid Deployment Unit was a div

Gov’t Intervenes As Court Orders Auctioning Of GHANASCO Cars

The Northern Regional Director of Education, Mohammed Haroon Cambodia has confirmed government will be paying a staggering GHC400,000 as judgment debt to a private citizen in order to stop the auctioning of vehicles belonging to the Ghana Senior High School in Tamale. Government is offering the bailout following a chronic transport difficulty that has hit the school for the last two years after a court order impounded the only bus for students and a brand new official pickup vehicle. Two Nissan patrol vehicles belonging to the Education directorate were also taken by the court. The vehicles were confiscated to be auctioned to pay up salary arrears of a former headmaster of the school who accused the school and education service of injustices including inappropriate dismissal and concealing his promotion letter. Late Lionel Mahama was dismissed as headmaster of the school in 1997. His salary was blocked for years until a CHRAJ ruled in his favor and ordered his reinstateme
