Tamale mayor opens Kayayei dialogue in Tamale

 

Hon Sule Salifu today opens a National Kayayei Dialogue in Tamale at Modern City hotel. The program was organised by Henry Djaba Foundation in collaboration with UNFPA.

The mayor thanked Henry Djaba Foundation for the brilliant initiative and appeal to stakeholders to come out with ideas to eradicate Kayayei in Ghana. He added that those who seek greener pastures are prone to all kinds of dangers sexual abuse, teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, hunger, poor health and inhumane accommodation conditions.

Present at the meeting were Naa Bakpem Yoo Naa who represented the Yaa Naa, Naa Nyab Tolon Naa who was the guest of honor, MMDCE’s, chiefs in Savannah, North East and the metropolitan Coordinating Director.
