Mastercards for MTN’s mobile money platform users

Mastercard and MTN Group Fintech have inked a landmark deal aimed at equipping all MTN MoMo customers with payment cards, as announced in a joint statement on Thursday. Management of GES with support from PwC Ghana has held a Scheme of Service document review and validation workshop from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th February 2024. The Scheme of Service will serve as a structured framework defining the various job roles, responsibilities, career progression (or criteria for career advancement), skills and competencies for each role and staff categories within the Service. The Scheme of Service will also help align the workforce with the new organisational structure, ensuring a smooth transition and strategic alignment with the GES's goals. As part of the workshop, the team reviewed the GES Competency framework, a framework that provides a systematic approach to defining, assessing, and managing the skills, behaviours, and knowledge required for optimal job performance within the Service. One Student - One Tablet Distribution Ongoing

The Government One-Student One-Tablet (1S1T) initiative has been implemented in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) schools across the nation.  Sefwi Awaso STEM SHS, with a student enrollment of Eight Hundred and Sixty-Eight (868), has been provided with 868 tablets through this initiative.  This program is aimed at enhancing the learning experience and providing equal opportunities for all students, recognizing the increasing importance of technology in our education system.  The leadership of H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia inspires confidence in the promising future of our youth and the nation as a whole.  This initiative marks a significant step forward in the integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in our education system.

As part of the package for the TM1 laptop, teachers are to be trained and examined on the topic, "Information Communication Technology (ICT) Skills Acquisition For Teachers".  The training is to be done in three options: Physical Training (Face to face workshop)   Recorded Training (Tutorial Videos)  Online Live Training  These options are available to all teachers to choose from.  Notwithstanding, which option one chooses, one will have to register and write an online exam consisting of 30 questions.  The steps below will guide you to register to write the online exam: Step 1:  Launch a browser. Teachers Fund introduces portal for increasing contributions

The GNAT Teachers Fund has introduced a portal to facilitate quick way to increase Teacher Fund contributions, aiming to enhance efficiency and convenience for teachers. Hitherto, the USSD code *888# is used. But it has its limitations and drawbacks. Some of which are: One will have to register in order to be able to access the USSD service. To register for the USSD service, one need to get a code from teachers fund. To get the code, one will have to visit the GNAT office in his/her locality. But because of the above limitations and drawbacks, the Teacher Fund has introduced a portal that can be used to increase the contribution without registration.  This new way of increasing contribution also comes with its drawbacks or limitations.
