Minister of Education inspects ongoing construction of NTC Tamale office complex
The Honourable Minister of Education, accompanied by the Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), on Friday, 14th November 2025 paid a working visit to the construction site of the new NTC Office Complex in Tamale.
The visit formed part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and ensuring that agencies under the Ministry are adequately equipped to deliver on their mandates.
Upon arrival, the Minister and the Registrar were received by the project consultants and contractors, who led the delegation through a comprehensive tour of the facility. The team inspected the structural works completed so far, reviewed architectural plans, and assessed compliance with project timelines and safety standards.
The Honourable Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made and reiterated government’s resolve to support the NTC to enhance teacher professionalism across the country. He emphasized that the new Tamale office will serve as a strategic hub for teacher licensing, continuous professional development (CPD) coordination, and other regulatory functions across the northern sector.
The Registrar of the NTC also commended the contractors for maintaining steady progress and reminded them of the importance of delivering a modern, functional facility that meets the Council’s operational needs. He noted that the establishment of the Tamale office is part of the NTC’s long-term decentralization strategy aimed at improving accessibility of services for teachers in the five northern regions.
The contractors assured the delegation of their commitment to completing the project on schedule and highlighted the remaining phases of work, including interior finishing, electrical installations, and landscaping.
