The tablets have a hybrid power system, electric charging and solar system to ensure that all period round it can be used.  The tablets can be used both online and offline  The tablets can support SIM cards and operate on an Android 12 operating system. GES Boss Congratulates three students for taking all top three (3) WAEC awards

Congratulations to three of our own for taking all top three (3) awards at the just ended 2023 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) International Excellence Awards. The three outstanding students were awarded at the 72nd Annual Council Meeting in Freetown, Sierra Leone on Tuesday, 19th March 2024. Tuesday was a historic day for me and the Ghanaian delegation who cheered our students on to receive the first, second and third place awards. The award winners are: Amo-Kodieh Leonard Kofi Marton, St James Seminary Senior High School (Overall Best Student) Dzandu Selorm, Labone Senior High School (Second place) Daniel Asenso-Gyambibi also from St James Seminary Senior High School (Third place) The International Excellence Awards for WASCCE for School Candidates are presented to the three (3) overall best candidates from the member countries that subscribe to the WASSCE, namely the Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. GES instructs schools to remain open despite teacher strike

  Dr. Eric Nkansah - GES Director General  The Ghana Education Service (GES) has instructed heads of schools not to close down their institutions in spite of the ongoing teachers' strike.  This directive comes after the leaders of three pre-tertiary unions in the country— Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT-GH), declared a nationwide strike on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Accra. The unions attributed to the failure of the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to address concerns affecting teacher’s condition of service. The directive was contained in a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations of GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
