Prospective national service personnel asked to register

The National Service Secretariat (NSS) has set Monday, May 11, 2015, as the final date for the registration of prospective service personnel for the 2015/2016 service year.

It has, therefore, called on prospective service personnel to register and be enrolled in a timely manner to enable the scheme to release its deployment and placement information early to avoid any inconvenience.

“It is only when  national service personnel enrol in a timely manner that the management of the scheme will be able to ensure that deployed and placement information of personnel is released early to achieve the objectives of the scheme’s new posting calendar,” the acting Executive Director of the scheme, Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, said in a statement.

The inability of personnel to enrol early enough could result in them not being able to offer their service “this programme year”.

“It will be recalled that the management of the scheme earlier this year announced changes in the posting arrangements and subsequently released registration PINs for prospective service personnel to facilitate their enrolment into the 2015/2016 service programme,” it added.
