Teacher Butchered In Bunkrugu Dispute

A 35 year old teacher has been butchered to death in the Bunkrugu -Yunyoo District of theNorthern Region, following a chieftaincy dispute on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Amos Nawas was said to have been attacked and killed in his house.

The clash between two Bimobas royal factions – Jamong and Jacob – in Bunkrugu left two others sustaining gunshot wounds.

About 34 houses were also set on fire in the heat of the clash, Joy News Northern Regional correspondent, Hashmin Mohammed reports.

The clash erupted as a result of suspicion of murder. Apparently, the Jamong faction had discovered the body of a missing 70 year old farmer in the bush.

A leader is a thinking individual and a political being. He must have a trained mind, an analytical disposition and the vision to move his nation forward. Mere ambition is not enough, If wishes were horses, beggars will ride. Advisers are not enough, since an adviser, should not be a teacher on elementary concepts, which the leader should have been seized of, if he had learned about relevant concepts earlier in life before dabbling in politics, because of lack of any other things to do!!! Gov’t Intervenes As Court Orders Auctioning Of GHANASCO Cars

The Northern Regional Director of Education, Mohammed Haroon Cambodia has confirmed government will be paying a staggering GHC400,000 as judgment debt to a private citizen in order to stop the auctioning of vehicles belonging to the Ghana Senior High School in Tamale. Government is offering the bailout following a chronic transport difficulty that has hit the school for the last two years after a court order impounded the only bus for students and a brand new official pickup vehicle. Two Nissan patrol vehicles belonging to the Education directorate were also taken by the court. The vehicles were confiscated to be auctioned to pay up salary arrears of a former headmaster of the school who accused the school and education service of injustices including inappropriate dismissal and concealing his promotion letter. Late Lionel Mahama was dismissed as headmaster of the school in 1997. His salary was blocked for years until a CHRAJ ruled in his favor and ordered his reinstateme
