WHO AM I, TEARS, SWEAT AND BLOOD?

I am the man rising from the
ashes of darkness,
The voice of awakening calling
from the sheath of blackness,
The mind, the soul, the idea, the
thought caught up in oneness,
The truth, the light, the love, the
wisdom of selflessness,
'Darkness is not evil, it is the
beauty of nightness'.
Man is just tears, sweat and blood

I have mused through worlds
and worlds of universes,
Flashes of injustice, illusions of
reality is the order of this
existence,
A hunter's bow, a hunter's
arrow is the emblem of this
habitation of sorrows,
'In the holding of the creator, is
life and perfection',
Man is just tears, sweat and
blood.

Toiling the evils of day,
In sweat he taste honey of its
sweetness,
Illusioned by religious dogmas,
In tears is his prayer to the gods
of his beingness,
Conned by democracy, politics,
In blood is his struggle to
survive the life race,
Pressing the flesh for
opportunities sake,
Man is just tears, sweat and
blood

UDS Vice Chancellor kicks against conversion of polytechnics into universities

Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies (UDS) Prof. Gabriel Ayum Teye has made a case against the planned conversion of polytechnics into universities. According to him, the move will only increase the graduate unemployment population which currently stands at 300,000. This is according to data from the Institute of Statistical and Economic Research (ISSER). “Now we have 10 public universities that produce graduates and by next month we will have 16 public universities in Ghana. “So if you’re having problems with 10 and you add another 6 to it making 16 are you solving the problem or compounding it,” he queried. Prof Ayum Teye was speaking at the 22nd National Delegates’ Congress of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) in Tamale. Gov’t Intervenes As Court Orders Auctioning Of GHANASCO Cars

The Northern Regional Director of Education, Mohammed Haroon Cambodia has confirmed government will be paying a staggering GHC400,000 as judgment debt to a private citizen in order to stop the auctioning of vehicles belonging to the Ghana Senior High School in Tamale. Government is offering the bailout following a chronic transport difficulty that has hit the school for the last two years after a court order impounded the only bus for students and a brand new official pickup vehicle. Two Nissan patrol vehicles belonging to the Education directorate were also taken by the court. The vehicles were confiscated to be auctioned to pay up salary arrears of a former headmaster of the school who accused the school and education service of injustices including inappropriate dismissal and concealing his promotion letter. Late Lionel Mahama was dismissed as headmaster of the school in 1997. His salary was blocked for years until a CHRAJ ruled in his favor and ordered his reinstateme
