DE PARADOX OF OUR TIME!
DE PARADOX OF OUR TIME!
De paradox of our time: we've bigger houses but smaller families; more conveniences but less time; more degrees but less sense
More knowledge but less judgement; more expects but more problems; more medicine but less wellness
We've multiplied our possessions but reduce our values; we hate too often but love seldom
We've learned how to make a living but not life; we've aged years to life but not life to years
We've conquered outer space but not inner space; we've done longer things but not better things
We've cleaned up de air but polluted de soul; we've split de atom but not our prejudice
We write more but learn less; we plan more but accomplished less; we've learnt to crush but not to wait
We've higher incomes but lower morals; more food but less appeasement
We've built more computers to hold more information but less communication
We spend more but have less; buy more but enjoy it less; more leisure but less fun; more kinds of food but less nutrition
These are de times of world peace but domestic warfare; days of two incomes but more divorce; of fancier houses but broken homes
